Ricky Bandejas (born November 26, 1991) is an American Mixed Martial Arts currently competing in the Bantamweight (MMA) division of Bellator MMA. He entered fighting as an amateur in the regional circuit around New Jersey and made his pro debut with Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC).

Mixed Martial Arts Career

Early Career

Bandejas's first professional fight was on April 26, 2014 at CFFC 35 where he defeated Dwayne Holman via guillotine choke. He fought exclusively for CFFC and became the bantamweight interim championship until he signed with Bellator in 2018[2].

Bellator

Bandejas debuted in Bellator on August 17, 2018 to compete against up and coming protégé of Conor McGregor, James Gallagher. Despite trash talk leading up to the fight and a barrage of taunts from Gallagher in the cage, he secured a first round KO, ending the Irishman's unbeaten record[3].

He first headlined a Bellator main event on July 24, 2020 against Sergio Pettis[4] where he lost via unanimous decision.

He is currently scheduled to face Leandro Higo on October 15 at Bellator MMA in 2020 Bellator 249[5][6].
