Rick Snoman is a British electronic music producer, author, and educator, best known for writing the Dance Music Manual, a widely used reference guide on electronic dance music production.[1]

Career

Snoman began producing electronic music in the early 1990s and has released tracks under aliases such as Phiadra, Rebel One, and Aeon Soul.[2] In 2004, he founded Dance Music Production, a company offering educational material for EDM producers.[3]

He is also co-owner of Altar Recording Studios in the United Kingdom.[4]


Dance Music Manual

Snoman authored the Dance Music Manual, first published in 2004 by Routledge and currently in its fifth edition.[1] The book is used in several academic institutions, including Yale University.[5]

Recognition and Professional Work

Snoman has contributed to the field of electronic music production through lectures and workshops. He has served as a presenter at the Audio Engineering Society's international conventions, including the 146th and 147th AES events.[6][7] He is also listed as a judge for AES student awards.[8] [9]
