Christopher Richard Stringini (born November 28, 1988 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American singer and actor. He was best known for as a member in boy band US5 since 2005. He was known as "Richie" with the band.

Early Life

Richie was born in Chicago in 1988 with a American origin and an Canadian root father and a Polish mother. Richie was adopted when he was four days old by Kathleen and Robert Stringini from Wheaton. He has an older brother named Bobby. Richie spent his academy at a school named Acacia Academy in LaGrange.

From the age of four, he started his career as a professional model and actor and he appeared in numerous musicals and commercials. His face appeared on the covers of children's books and toy boxes. He also made guest appearances in the series Lizzie McGuire and My Best Friend, as well as in the Hollywood film Rule Number One.

Career

2005-2010: US5

Not long after starring in Rule Number One, he starred at a German TV-show Big in America to join a new boy band named US5.(which is managed by Lou Pearlman, the founding father of the best and well known boy bands such as Backstreet Boys & NSYNC). Fortunately, Richie successfully passed the preliminaries by auditioning in Florida and in 2005 became a permanent member of the group. The group was quite successful in European countries.[2][3] Richie enjoyed success with the band by the successful release of their debut hit "Maria" (which hit number one in German charts) and other 10 singles, with the four studio albums too. he was a true and loyal member too, he remained at the band until their disbandment in 2010 with Jay Khan and Izzy Gallegos.

He got the YAM! for the best star of 2005.

In 2006, Richie recorded "Best Friends"[4] as his first debut solo single. Although the song didn't reach any charts, but it was still a well known song.

In Promiflash, he stated that he had a good feeling for a comeback for the band and it would be cool for him to have a comeback with the band in the future. Unfortunately, base on the what the members are doing now, the band didn't made a comeback.[5]

2010-Present: Solo Career and YouTube

After a few years of silence, Richie made a comeback with a single is named "Man Down"[6], which recorded and released on 2012 in his native USA. The song was well known in Poland as well as other european countries. In March 4, 2022, Richie released "Someone You Loved"[7], which is a cover of Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi. Richie also create YouTube videos with channel Hollowbox. The genre of videos he released are his own solo/cover music videos. He also posted his past live streams.

Personal Life

Richie was currently single.

Richie has been engaged to Monica Lewinski in 2008 until 2009. He used to be in a relationship with Lalaine in 2001 until 2005.

Richie now works in a hospital as a nurse too.[8]

Drug Addiction

In 2013, Richie had suffered a drug relapse. He was previously treated for alcohol and drug addiction, has now returned to rehab.[9] In 2014, Richie shocked his fans by having a drug relapse again. Although he stayed clean for eighteen months, but he is facing the beginning at his addiction.[10]
