History
Rhyme Antics was discovered by Chantel Calloway and is backed by her multiple years of extensive research on US literacy and Black-owned businesses. Initially, the idea was pitched to Defy Ventures - a criminal background-friendly accelerator, in order to acquire funding for this venture. Within two years, Rhyme Antics won Calloway over $20,000 while associating with Defy Ventures, which she used to launch the board game in 2015 with the help of The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign[5][6].
The Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign exceeded its $10,000 goal by pre-selling more than 300 copies of Rhyme Antics in a month of its launch. Rhyme Antics has also won Target's 2019 pitch competition which has resulted in it becoming one of the top selling new games in the USA[7].
