Ren is a small village of 4723 hectares in Merta Tehsil in Nagaur district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ren depends on Merta City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ren is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ren's pin code is 341514[4], and village code is 01838300. The area of Ren is segregated as 1 hectares irrigated area, 4002.01 hectares unirrigated, the 144.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 575.93 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Merta City and Nagaur to sell oil and make their living.
