Relocation service refer to a variety of internal business procedures that are used to relocate individuals, their families, and/or whole departments of an organization to a new location. Relocation services, employee relocation, military Permanent Change of Station (PCS), and workforce mobility are all examples of these terms. The administration of these procedures, much like the administration of other forms of employee benefits, is often handled by human resources experts working for a firm. Transportation Management Office (TMO) and Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO) are the organizations within the military that are responsible for the administration of these procedures.

Domestic residential services, in which an employee moves inside a country or state, and international relocation services, which include preparation for diplomats, managers, and other business professionals working overseas, are examples of the types of business procedures that fall under this category. An organization that offers relocation services is responsible for directing and managing the process of relocation. This includes arranging the necessary documents (visa, long-term stay permissions), finding a new house (accommodation), finding a school for children (education), finding a job for the partner or "trailing spouse," arranging a teacher for the family (language training), and introducing expatriates to the culture of the new location.
