Regniya is a small village of 56 hectares in Ghatol Tehsil in Banswara district, also known as City of Hundred Islands in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Regniya depends on Banswara, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Regniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Regniya's pin code is 327027[4], and village code is 03376900. The area of Regniya is segregated as 1 hectares irrigated area, 50 hectares unirrigated, remaining 4.84 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The workforce is 164 male, 175 female with 249 (73.45%) of all workers being employed full-time, this includes 147 males and 102 females. 120 males and 90 females are considered as the main cultivators with the help of 2 male and 7 female agricultural labor. 90 people are reported to work for a marginal period of time in the year.
They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Banswara to sell ghee and make their living.
