Redway Brands was founded on January 15th, 2017, as the Red Tag Pillows Company. Red Tag was originally a pop-up location retailer in Corona CA. From 2017 to 2019, Red Tag grew, later investing into it's first online store in 2018. After the 2019 restructuring, the parent company was renamed as Redway Brands Group. Since then Redway has grew to where it is today, later opening numerous online stores & later introducing its first mobile apps.
In 2020, Redway introduced it's private labels, starting with Tree Republic and Foreverlend. They will later introduce Office Master and Rissum Brand in 2021. Following that Redway introduced Reinjo Brand, Simple By Bellerton, Gothix's, Behind The Boarders Brand, and Redway Fit in early 2023.
2019 Re-Branding
In late 2019 Red Tag Pillows declared bankruptcy after failing to pay off debts & locations becoming unprofitable. To avoid going out of business, the company re-branded itself in late 2019. During this re-branding, the company made a new business plan stating that it will mainly focus on its online operations. By the end of 2021 all of Redway's locations closed permanently. The company rolled out a new logo and fazed out the classic Red Tag Pillows logo by the end of 2020. In 2021 the company rolled out it's lovable mascot, "Cubby". Cubby went back to the company's original roots, Cubby is a handmade teddy bear going back to when the company was focused on it's handmade products.
Future
The brand has seen its ups and downs, in recent reports, Redway's sales has dropped in the past couple of years making profitability harder each year. One of it's newer brands, Westside Central almost went under in early 2024 after a poor holiday season & continuous declining sales. The company's largest brand, Reinjo was profitable last year, but it didn't meet company standards. Many think Redway is over expanding. Many companies like HH Gregg, and Circuit City went under because of over expansion.
