Raya is a small village of 166 hectares in Nathdwara Tehsil in Rajsamand district, for Rajsamand Lake, an artificial lake created in the 17th century by Rana Raj Singh in the state of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Raya depends on NATHDWARA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Raya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Raya's pin code is 313202[4], and village code is 03051200. The area of Raya is segregated as 8 hectares irrigated area, 129 hectares unirrigated, remaining 29 hectare area not available for cultivation.
