Ravi Vadrevu (born Ravi Teja Vadrevu) is an Indian-American software engineer and entrepreneur, known as the founder and CEO of an AI-based platform, Kalendar AI.[1][2]

Early life and education

Vadrevu was born in Hyderabad, India. In 2009, he graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University with Bachelors in Technology and Computer Sciences.[3] Later, he moved to US and received his Masters in Computer Sciences from University of Southern California in 2011.[4]

Career

After completing his studies in 2011, Ravi started his career as a product engineer at BranchOut, where he worked till the end of 2014.[4][3] In 2015, Ravi co-founded Meed, an online service aimed at bridging the gap between fresh graduates seeking specialty focused jobs and the hiring companies.[5] Initially, Meed provided its services to the top 20 universities of USA, including Stanford, MIT and UCLA, which were extended to more than 250 universities by the end of 2015.[6][7] Later, Ravi was pushed out of Meed by his co founder and the company collapsed within three months.[8]

In 2021, Ravi renamed Kriya AI into Kalendar AI, which is based on GPT-3‘s language model and aims at automating the outreach process by helping users in booking sales meetings with potential customers using AI.[9][1] Kalendar AI has raised 3.2 Million USD in pre-seed funding and has been mentioned among the top 100 tech companies of 2022.[10][11] Kalendar AI is backed by Eric Ries, Village Global and 500 Startups, including other angel investors.[12]
