Rate Ka Tala is a small village of 930 hectares in Chohtan Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rate Ka Tala depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rate Ka Tala is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rate Ka Tala's pin code is 344706[4], and village code is 02269500. The area of Rate Ka Tala is segregated as 108.27 hectares irrigated area, 500.27 hectares unirrigated, the 312.02 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 9.42 hectare area not available for cultivation.
