Ratariya is a small village of 5422 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratariya depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ratariya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ratariya's pin code is 345021[4], and village code is 02061000. The area of Ratariya is segregated as 1246 hectares unirrigated, the 3984.25 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 99 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ratariya has One post office (Pokaran S.O) and One public telephone. The village is connected with a single bus service. Ratariya has Two banks, One credit society and One agricultural credit society for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Ratariya is a census village in the district of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2557 and has total administration over 430 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of POKARAN and Jaisalmer to sell shoes and make their living.
