Ratanpur is a small village of 1716 hectares in Raniwara Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratanpur depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, which is 301.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ratanpur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ratanpur's pin code is 343040[4], and village code is 02339900. The area of Ratanpur is segregated as 876 hectares irrigated area, 184 hectares unirrigated, the 423 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 233 hectare area not available for cultivation.
