Ratan Ki Basti is a small village of 1146 hectares in Pokaran Tehsil in Jaisalmer district, nicknamed ""The Golden city"" in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ratan Ki Basti depends on POKARAN, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ratan Ki Basti is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tubewell. Ratan Ki Basti's pin code is 345031[4], and village code is 02051200.
