Rarod is a small village of 3807 hectares in Bhopalgarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rarod depends on Pipar City, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 120.00% of the total supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rarod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rarod's pin code is 342901[4], and village code is 01947000. The area of Rarod is segregated as 764 hectares irrigated area, 2390.36 hectares unirrigated, the 170 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 483 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pipar City and Jodhpur to sell ghee and make their living.
