Shahroz Ahmad, better known by his stage name Rapper Shaz (stylised Shaz!), is an Indian rapper and music producer.[1] Growing up in the digital era, Shaz found an early interest in computers, which later turned into a fascination for music programming and rapping. He started his career as a rapper in 2013 when he used to record songs and upload them on YouTube and other social networking sites.
Early life
Shaz was born on November 2001 in Bihar, India. He grew up in a small town called Araria situated in the northern part of Bihar. Later he moved to New Delhi, India.
He did his schooling from Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj in Delhi, India.
Career
Rapping
Ahmad started his career as a rapper in 2013 when he used to record songs and upload them on YouTube. He started writing raps after listening to a song on Nirbhaya Case that occurred in Delhi.
He is a self-trained Musician. He released his single - "I Can't Breathe" and "Katal-e-Aam" in 2020.
Ahmad is also known for his compositions, which tend to portray a political message known as "Protest Poetry". He gained recognition for his protest songs "Kabool Kro" and "Kranti" which he released against India's citizenship Law 2019. His song "Kabool Kro" reached almost 50,000 people in three days on Instagram and around 25,000 people on YouTube.[1]
Beats by Shaz
In early 2017, Shaz launched his music career as a record producer. He started music licensing company Beats by Shaz in the same year. He launched his website BeatsByShaz.com in 2020.[2]
