Randheer Rai is an Indian actor who mainly acts in Hindi movies, Hindi television and web series. He's known for playing Joel in Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), and Anuj in Poster Boys (2017). He made his debut in web series with Vikram Bhatt's Zakhmi as ACP Kunal Singh Walia. Followed by Walia in Anamika, where he played the main antagonist. His latest movie 1920 Horrors of the Heart is a 2023 Indian hindi-language horror film directed by Krishna Bhatt and produced by Vikram Bhatt, Dr. Raj Kishor Khaware, Rakesh Juneja & Shwetambari Bhatt written by Mahesh Bhatt. It is the fifth film of 1920 film series. It stars Avika Gor Randheer Rai Rahul Dev and Barkha Bisht in lead roles.
Early life and career
Randheer Rai was born on May 29, 1988.in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, in a middle-class family. His father is a retired central government AG office Clerk and his mother is a housewife. Randheer's educational qualification is a bachelor's degree in commerce from Maharani Laxmi Bai College, Gwalior. Randheer was well on his way to becoming a sub-inspector. He worked hard on the physical endurance test and was confident he'd pass the written test. Because of his good looks, he was referred to everywhere as HERO. Then his friends urged him to try modeling. He then applied for the Mr. Gwalior contest and became Mr. Gwalior. Then he decided to try his luck as an actor and came to Mumbai. He left behind his family & friends. He came to Mumbai without any support as he didn't know anyone here. He started earning a living by doing modeling assignments and shows. Later he decided to participate in Gladrags Model Hunt. Since he had many modeling assignments, he was very busy. He didn't have enough time to concentrate on acting. For that, he was here in Mumbai where he was passionate about acting. So he decided to stop modeling altogether.
He then went to Anupam Kher's Actor Prepares - The School for Actors and finished his course. After that, he went to the Barry John Acting Studio. This was another step in pursuing his passion. After honing his acting skills in these prestigious institutes, Randheer joined the theatre groups in Mumbai and worked on these theatre assignments.
He got his first break in Shootout at Wadala (2013), where he made a small cameo appearance with Anil Kapoor. Then he got his first leading role in Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty (2014), where his character "Joel" was very well received. Then he was signed up for the television series 'The Mall' for Star Plus and had already started shooting, but fate had something else in mind. The series couldn't be aired due to production reasons. In 2016, he made a cameo appearance in 24 {Indian TV Series season 2} as Supreme Commander Aarif for Colors TV.
In 2017, he got another prominent role in the movie Poster Boys (2017) starring Sunny Deol, where he was seen as Sunny's younger brother Anuj Chaudhry. After that, he had his first web show in Vikram Bhatt's Zakhmi as ACP Kunal Singh. In the same year, he signed his next series with Star Plus in Karn Sangini as Yudhishtir: Kunti and Yama's only son, eldest Pandava, Krishna's friend and Draupadi's husband. Randheer got his next big role in Suman Mukhopadhyay's Filmmakers Festival Berlin (2020) Award Winning Posham Pa (2019) as Dharmesh Deshpande with Mahie Gill Sayani Gupta & Ragini Khanna. He later signed his next serial with Star Plus in Jiji Maa as Abhishek Sanghvi where he played the main antagonist.
In 2022, the post-Covid era, he was signed for a new web series Anamika for MX Player as the main antagonist Walia Saab with Vikram Bhatt. Starring: Sunny Leone, Sameer Soni & Rahul Dev. He even appeared in of Naagin Maha episode. In the same year, Vikram Bhatt cast Randheer based on his performance in Anamika Randheer for his daughter Krishna Bhatt's directorial debut in the film 1920 Horror of the Heart. written by Mahesh Bhatt. He has completed shooting for the film and is looking forward to its release.
He has been seen in many TV commercials, like Anchor Fans], Berger Paint, HDFC Bank, Pro Kabaddi League Star Sports, Fogg Perfume, Isuzu Auto, Tata Tea, and many more.
