Rana is a small village of 4104 hectares in Rohat Tehsil in Pali district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rana depends on Pali, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, One canal and Two springs. Rana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rana's pin code is 306401[4], and village code is 02425600. The area of Rana is segregated as 3.03 hectares irrigated area, 3470.93 hectares unirrigated, the 610.07 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20.13 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Pali to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
