Ramsar is a small village of 3440 hectares in Shergarh Tehsil in Jodhpur district, also known as the Blue City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramsar depends on Phalodi, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 5.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramsar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ramsar's pin code is 342021[4], and village code is 01971400. The area of Ramsar is segregated as 536 hectares irrigated area, 2843 hectares unirrigated, the 41 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 20 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Ramsar is a census village in the district of Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 1633 and has total administration over 275 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Phalodi and Jodhpur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
