Ramsar is a small village of 115 hectares in Bassi Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramsar depends on Jaipur, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 52.37% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramsar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ramsar's pin code is 303004[4], and village code is 01627200. The area of Ramsar is segregated as 52.37 hectares irrigated area, 16.03 hectares unirrigated, the 30.73 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 15.94 hectare area not available for cultivation.
