Rampur is a small village of 313 hectares in Bansur Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rampur depends on REWARI (HARYANA), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 17.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rampur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rampur's pin code is 301402[4], and village code is 00788100. The area of Rampur is segregated as 287 hectares irrigated area, 9 hectares unirrigated, the 3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 14 hectare area not available for cultivation.
