Ramniya is a small village of 2619 hectares in Siwana Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Ramniya depends on BALOTRA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 200.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Ramniya is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Ramniya's pin code is 344043[4], and village code is 02166000. The area of Ramniya is segregated as 306 hectares irrigated area, 242 hectares unirrigated, the 1481 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 284 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BALOTRA and Barmer to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
