Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia is a commerce and law graduate and a practicing tax lawyer[1] since 1991. He is a member of the Bar Council Of Gujarat, India. One of his idiosyncrasies is his interest towards businesses and investments which led him to study deeper in the field and practice as a Business Consultant and an Investment Advisor for more than 30 years now.
Due to the business acumen and leadership skills possessed by him, he has held and continue to hold several key positions in various respectable organizations including the post of President in The Southern Gujarat Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) (2023-24)[2][3]. He was also the Chairman of All Gujarat Federation Of Tax Consultants (South Gujarat Region) and is actively associated with the organization.
Early life and education
Personal Life
Ramesh Vaghasia was born on 15th March 1966 in village named Vanda, Savar Kundla in Amreli district to a Hindu Vaishnav farmer named Nathalal and his wife Sonaben. Being born to a farmer, he had a very modest beginning. He describes his father to be an honest and hardworking man and that he imbibed those qualities of deligence and uprightness from his father.
He got married to Geeta at the age of 27, who he describes to be a very supportive spouse, adviser and a friend in true sense. They were blessed with 2 children soon after their marriage, namely, Balkrushna and Vibhuti.
Education
Ramesh completed his primary and secondary education from his village at Amreli. After completing his secondary education, he wanted to fulfill his dream of completing formal education and obtain a degree. To pursue his dream he went to Vallabh Vidhyanagar to join B.J. Vanijya Mahavidyalay, an institute affiliated with Sardar Patel University, in the year 1989 and obtained the degree of Bachelor of Commerce.
After completing graduation in commerce he wanted to get higher education in the same field, so he aimed to become a Chartered Accountant and he went to Ahemdabad for studies and completed his articleship. He cleared his CA Intermediate exams but unfortunately could not go through the CA finals. Thereafter, to enrich his knowledge of law he joined L.A. Shah Law College of Gujarat University, Ahemdabad and obtained the degree of LL.B.
His passion to be a lifelong learner resurged at the age of 45, so he took the initiative to chase that passion of his, he joined Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) at Surat and successfully completed P. G. Diploma in Journalism with his preoccupied professional and social life even if it meant balancing multiple responsibilities.
Career
Ramesh Vaghasia received his 'Certificate of Practice' (CoP) from the Bar Council of India on 8th September 1991 and on the same day he commenced his practice by establishing a proprietorship firm at Ahemdabad to provide services in the field of Accounting and Income Tax.
In the year 1993, Mr. Ramesh moved to Surat and continued his work with utmost passion but unfortunately his CA associate and guide Mr. K.J.Radadiya passed away. Ramesh, then, started a new partnership firm named "R.VAGHASIA & CO." in partnership with Mr. Mahesh U. Savaliya and carried on providing professional services.
With the passage of time, there arose a need to expand & introduce more services in different fields of business. To cater to the needs of clients and after gaining 12 successful years of sufficient experience, they incorporated "R.VAGHASIA MANAGEMENT PVT. LTD" on 6th October 2003. The company is primarily engaged in providing consultancy and management services. The services involve business planning, management accounting, tax management etc.

Service to society
Sardar Patel Education Trust
In the year of 1997, Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia put together a group of young and enthusiastic youth and inspired them to serve to needy students. They established a Non-governmental organization “Saurashtra Education Group of Vidyanagar, Surat" and was appointed as the President for the year 1999-2000.[1] Here, they are undertaking many educational activities for the personality development of students, including “General knowledge Test” every year in Surat for the students of 9th, 10th and 11th standard.[4][5] In the year 2002, they got the trust registered by the name “Sardar Patel Education Trust”.
They arrange “Career Information & Guidance seminar” for students every year to motivate them for higher education. He found one “Career Development Centre” to provide continuous career guidance to students in Surat and a “Reading Hall” for the students who wish to read but lack the facility at their home due to congested and cramped situation in slums.[5][6] Since the inception of the trust, under his presidentship the trust has developed many facilitative infrastructure and extended many activities in diversified fields.[7]
Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj
With the intention to serve his own community, Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia joined “Saurashtra Patel Seva Samaj” which is a registered trust and serving to the community and society as a trustee.[8] The said N.G.O. has made revolution by arranging “Group Marriage” instead of expending much more in individual marriages. He inspired community people for social reforms under the banner of “Group Marriage” Celebration. He gave ideas to cut in luxurious expenses and to live simple life with high thinking. It gives every year different meaningful new message to the public for living better life through “Group Marriage Function”.[8] It made many more efforts for upliftment of poor section of the community.
The Rachna Co-Operative Credit & Consumer Society Ltd.
The Society was formed by Rameshbhai Vaghasia 1997-98 and he is serving as its President since then.[9] The purpose was to provide a supportive and inclusive platform for its members to access affordable credit and financial services, tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. In addition to its core credit functions, this organization is committed to fostering financial literacy and empowerment within its community. Through regular financial awareness programs and initiatives, it equips its members with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed financial decisions, thereby enhancing their financial stability and independence.[10]
Rotary Club of Surat East
Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia joined Rotary club of Surat East, a part of Rotary International, a worldwide organization in the year of 2003-04 and was immediately appointed as club director in the club. He was soon appointed as an international service director in the club in the year of 2006-07. Among his various notable contributions to the club was campaign for Polio Immunization in Surat city and providing relief measures during flood calamity in Surat in 2006. His contributions to the club earned him some recognition and later he was appointed as President of the club for the year 2008-09.[11] As a president, he handled and implemented many public utility projects during his tenure.[12] Currently he is performing his honorary duty at district level also.
Non-Resident Gujarati Centre, Surat
Ramesh Vaghasia has served as a chairman of Non-Resident Gujarati (NRG) Center, Surat for the year 2012-13 which is promoted by Gujarat State Non Resident Gujaratis' Foundation (NRGF).[13] NRG Centre, Surat started in December 2009, is an alliance between The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) and NRGF.[13] The initiative was taken by Government of Gujarat in order to provide genuine information and assistance to NRGs. Earlier GCCI had NRG Overseas Wing working under its NRG Committee. The SGCCI NRG Centre works in collaborative effort with the Government of Gujarat, so that the problems faced by the NRGs can be solved in effective and efficient manner.[13]
Jay Jawan Nagrik Samiti, Surat
Jay Jawan Nagrik Samiti is the only Surat based Non-governmental organization which facilitates and financially helps to the martyrs who have sacrificed their lives for the country. This public organization came into existence since the Kargil war fought by india with Pakistan in the year of 1999. Many more people deposited huge amount in the temporarily opened bank account of the said Samiti by known and unknown people including very small labourers and then the trust was registered and operated for the benefit of family members of martyrs from Gujarat state. Ramesh Vaghasia has been serving as executive committee member in this trust to respect and help to the martyrs who gave their lives for our beloved countries.
Awake India Foundation
Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia, who has been giving an important contribution in Social services, under his guidance an important organization of social work was started for the purpose of making his dream India or society. This organization is "Awake India Foundation". Keeping in mind the social, economic, national and other problems of different communities, the efforts are being made to bring awareness about this among the people of different communities. The main purpose of the organization is to create nationalism among the people of the country and nationality is the first in the priority of the people. The efforts are being made by this organization to make aware of people to perform their duties before using their rights.
Suryapur Sanskrit Pathshala
Sanskrit is the very ancient language in the world which was developed and used in India. Ramesh was highly interested in this language since his education period and kept the same by joining this educational organization as Advisory Committee Member. He has been appreciating and motivating Sanskrit students for studying in Sanskrit and also to develop their knowledge in Sanskrit Granths of ancient India including Vedas and Upnishads.
Auro University Surat
AURO University is grounded in value based education and imparts integral learning and leadership, where the mind, body and spirit are aligned and prepared to embark on a journey of lifelong enrichment for both, the individual and the community. Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia has been appointed as a member of Social Leaders Committee to give their valuable advise to the university in respect of the development of the said university.

He is the Chairman of the Managing Committee of The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) which is working for the interest and development of business and industry in south Gujarat of India. He has been serving through the chamber by holding positions as member of different committees since long. He has been organizing many programs to help and facilitate business and industry.

Mr. Ramesh Vaghasia joined this Professional Association during his initiation of practice in tax consulting. He contributed in organizing tax related seminars and conferences. Considering his services to the organization, he was appointed as member of South Gujarat Regional committee of “The All Gujarat Federation of Tax Consultants” and thereafter also became chairman of the said committee for the year 2009-10. He has played a vital role in presenting memorandum to the Government of Gujarat and India regarding rationalization and simplification of tax laws. He has contributed in organizing various seminars and conferences with the help of The Southern Gujarat Income Tax Bar Association.[14]
Tax Advocate Association of Gujarat
He is the member of the Tax Advocate Association of Gujarat, which represents various tax related issues to update the members of this organization all over Gujarat State in India. This organization organizes seminars to take up healthy discussions to resolve various inconveniences related to the practical issues of their clients.
