Ramakanta Mishra (born 17 June 1944) is an Indian politician from Odisha associated with the Indian National Congress.[1] He served as the Leader of Opposition in the twelfth Odisha Legislative Assembly in Ranpur Assembly Constituency from 21 March 2000 to 6 February 2004.[2]
Early life and background
Ramakanta Mishra was born on 17 June 1944 to Bidyadhar Mishra.[2] He is married to Pramila Kumari Mishra and has one son and four daughters.[2] His permanent residence is Vill-Karada Sasan, P.O. Hariharpur via Sarankul, Nayagarh district, Odisha.[2]
Education and profession
He completed his matriculation.[2] Professionally, he is an agriculturist.[2]
Political career
Ramakanta Mishra has been a long-time member of the Indian National Congress.[2] He represented the Ranpur Assembly Constituencyin Nayagarh district in various terms of the Odisha Legislative Assembly On 21 March 2000, he became the Leader of Opposition in the Twelfth Assembly.[2]
