Rajneesh Goel (born 10 August 1965) is an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1989 batch who served as the Chief Secretary of Karnataka from 30 November 2023 to 31 July 2024. Early life education
Born on August 10, 1965, in Bengaluru, Karnataka[1], Goel is an alumnus of St. Stephen's College, Delhi, and the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore). He is a 1989-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer.[3]
As Chief Secretary, Goel served under Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He succeeded P. Ravi Kumar in the position.[2]
Goel received the Padma Shri in 2023[4] and the e-Governance Gold Award in 2022.[5]
Rajneesh Goel concluded his tenure as the Chief Secretary of Karnataka on July 31, 2024, having served in the role since November 30, 2023.
