Raisa Knusel (born January 3, 1986), known by her stage name Raisa Knusel , is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, and pianist renowned for her performances across various settings, including five-star hotels, venues, cruise ships, lounges, and special events.[1] Her musical expertise extends to both the grand piano and keyboard, allowing her to perform renowned piano compositions, jazz standards, and a diverse selection of Arabic, American, French and Italian songs from radio charts and acoustic covers. Notable among her performances are those held at renowned five-star hotels and cruise ships such as Shangri-La Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton, The Peninsula Hotels, MSC Cruise Ship Line, and Louis Hellenic Cruises.[2]
Raisa is also the founder of Groove Makers, a talent booking agency situated in Dubai. The agency is known for connecting entertainment professionals with discerning clients.[3]
Among Raisa's notable works are her singles, including "Our Home" (2021), "Both Sides Now" (2022), "Time to Love" (2022), "Guard Down" (2022), and "Inside of You" (2022).[4]
Early life and education
Raisa was born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, where her deep passion for music began to flourish at a very young age. At 5, she began taking piano lessons.
At 15, she enrolled in the jazz vocals program at a music college, simultaneously discovering her passion for songwriting. Her inaugural composition, "Love and Forgiveness," debuted during her college final exam and ignited her to pursue a professional singing career.
In 2011, Raisa graduated with a degree in Philology from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University.
Career
After graduating, Raisa quickly gained prominence in the entertainment industry. She landed a significant role in a production show at Seoul's Seoul Land Amusement Park, attracting widespread media attention and a substantial fan base in South Korea.
As a professional singer and pianist, Raisa's repertoire encompasses classical piano pieces, renowned jazz standards, and popular selections from international charts. She is adept at delivering tailored musical performances to suit specific requests.
Driven by her ambition for an international career, Raisa seized opportunities to perform at worldwide venues. She graced the stages of five-star hotels such as Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts in Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi, The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai, The Iconic Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong and the only 7 star hotel in the world „Burj Al Arab“.

In 2017, Raisa established Groove Makers, an international talent booking agency.[5] Headquartered in Dubai, the agency specializes in connecting entertainment professionals, including musicians, dancers, DJs, bands, classical acts (solo, duets, trios, and quartets), acrobats, and special acts performers, with discerning clients such as five-star hotels, event venues, corporations, and private individuals. Groove Makers has orchestrated captivating performances at prestigious venues, including the Sofitel, Fairmont, Rixos, Waldorf Astoria, Atlantis the Palm, and the Bulgari Hotel. It has also collaborated with international five-star hotels such as the St. Regis Maldives and Conrad Maldives.
As a singer-songwriter, Raisa made her debut in 2021 with the release of her single titled "Our Home." The song conveyed a powerful message about the state of the planet, addressing themes of environmental concern and human division due to borders and nations. Raisa composed this song during the COVID-19 pandemic, drawing inspiration from a collection of poems she had written over a span of five years. "Our Home" resonated with a wide audience, achieving substantial success and recognition.
In 2022, Raisa continued her musical journey by releasing four additional singles: "Both Sides Now," "Time to Love,"[6] "Guard Down,"[7] and "Inside of You." Among these, "Guard Down" stands out for its profound emotional impact, gently touching the hearts and souls of listeners. This song is dedicated to those who harbor fears of love and heartbreak and have shielded their emotions, choosing to keep their passion confined.
Raisa has also collaborated with Olena to create a vocal and instrumental duo known as "Sol" (Sound of Love).

Personal life
Raisa currently divides her time between residences in Dubai, UAE and Zurich, Switzerland. She is married and has one child.
