Rain is a small village of 893 hectares in Chhipabarod Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Rain depends on Chhipabarod, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Rain is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Rain's pin code is 325221[4], and village code is 03960900. The area of Rain is segregated as 161.09 hectares irrigated area, 322.12 hectares unirrigated, the 49.68 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 79.18 hectare area not available for cultivation.
