Rai Shankar

According to bardic traditions , Rai Shankar is the direct descendant of King Jagadeva (Jagdev Parmar) of Parmara dynasty and is notable for being the founder of Ghebas , Sials and Tiwana clan. Rai Shankar who was directly descended from Jagadeva and other members of the Parmaras migrated from Dharu (near Mandu) to Rajputana, from whence they later moved into the Punjab. Rai Shankar according to tradition had three sons, Gheo who is depicted as the ancestor of the Ghebas, Teo or Tenu whose descendants are the Tiwanas and Seo, the forefather of the Sials.[1]
