RageSquid is a small dutch video game development company with less than 10 employees.[1] founded in 2011 by Roel Ezendam, Lex Decrauw, and (formerly) Gabrian van Houdt[2][3] and is now co-owned by Roan Albers.[4] The company found some success with the game Action Henk, and followed on to create the hit action game Descenders.
RageSquid has prototyped some early games such as Sumo Sorcery, Radical Rockits, Carnage Colosseum, and Pony Panic.[5][1]
Community
RageSquid has used Discord servers for Action Henk and Descenders, in which the development team can speak directly to players. During the development of Descenders this was used to inform development[6]. After Descenders was released, Roan Albers (known as 'Rosie')[7] began to stream live on twitch.tv, dubbed "Fridays with Rosie", in which Rosie would talk about the development and new features[8].
RageSquid also talks openly on their twitter account, where development updates are posted, as well as general posts of appreciation of the Descenders modding community and of their office dog[9]
