Rafta Rafta is a Pakistani Ramadan special television series broadcast on Green Entertainment, written by Hassan Imam and directed by Abdul Khaliq Khan.[1] It stars Saheefa Jabbar Khattak and Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz as leads. It first aired on 16 March 2024.[2]
Plot
Savera, the only daughter of her dementia-suffered mother, is responsible for the financial needs of het house for which she collects rent from the tenants, who usually tease her and don't pay on time. One of her tenant Hamza who is an insurance policy agent gets smitten by her. He doesn't have money to pay and comes from Lahore to Karachi to do a job to escape from marriage with his cousin.[3]

Production
On 19 February 2024, Saheefa Jabbar Khattak revealed about her comeback project on her Instagram handle.[4] It marked her return to television after 4 years.[5] Opposite Khattak, Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz was cast as the male lead who played his first comic role in the series.[6] The first teaser of the series was released on 4 March 2024.[7]

A reviewer from Daily Times praised the leads' portrayals, Dilapzeer's performance, the humour and the fast pace of the series.[8][9]
