Raffaele Chiulli (born 22 January 1957) is an Italian sport executive currently serving as President of the Union International Motonautique ,and Sport Accord (World Sport & Business Summit). Chiulli holds and has held several executive management and board positions in the energy and technology development industry[1]. He continues to lecture at universities around the world on subjects such as sport management and transitioning to sustainable energy.[2]

Education

Chiulli is Doctor of Sciences with honours from the University of Rome and had postgraduate education at Duke University in North Carolina, USA, the Institute Européen d'Administration des Affaires in Fontainebleau, France and the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland.[3]

Sport executive

Since 2007, Chiulli has served as President of the International Powerboating Federation (UIM) [4][5], which is the world governing body of powerboating, based in the Principality of Monaco. In 2013 he was elected President of the (ARISF)[6] and in 2019 he was elected (GAISF)[7] [8], the umbrella organisation for all (Olympic and non-Olympic) International Sports Federations. Chiulli is also President of SportAccord a global sport business event organisation that organises the World Sport & Business Summit, the Regional SportAccords and the International Federation (IF) Forum, combining exhibition themed conference programmes with a multitude of networking events.

Other sport roles

In 2014, Chiulli was appointed by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach to serve on the IOC Sport and Active Society Commission[9]
