Raeshaun is a Canadian musician born in Toronto, Ontario.

Early life

Raeshaun[1] was born in Toronto, Canada and spent his early years living at Jane & Woolner ave. During his early childhood, he moved to the growing suburb of MIssissauga[2]. Raeshaun is of Guyanese[3] decent, which is Indo-Caribbean from South America. Growing up, he was influenced by Eminem, 50 Cent, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Drake and J Cole - so much so that he was performing Eminem tracks on stage for his school at the early age of 10.

Career

Raeshaun comes from Toronto and has been professionally rapping and producing music since early 2018. He quickly grew a fan base after leaving his full time accounting career at KPMG to pursue his dream[4]. Since then, Raeshaun has had multiple tracks featured on Toronto's Flow 93.5, flew out to SXSW for a showcase[5] and packed venues for his debut headlining show[6] in Toronto. As his career launched the industry started to take notice, naming Raeshaun as one of Canada's Top Ten Artists to watch in 2020[7].

Collaborations

Raeshaun has worked with many established Canadian artists as well as new icons on the scene. Meeting up in the studio, Raeshaun and Danny Fernandes cooked up a summer time pop track in 2019 called "Want From Me[8]" that did thousands of streams cross platform. Since then, he has teamed up with Juno award winning artist, JRDN for their 2020 track "Best For Me"[9] and dropped his summer island track "Dubai"[3][10] with Karl Wolf, paying homage to the city that took in Karl during the Civil War in Lebanon.

Raeshaun has also gained some following during his energetic performance opening up to Def Jam artist, Yung Tory with Warner Music artist, LB Spiffy.
