History
RISE311 was developed after Walsh’s years of performance training work revealed recurring issues with conventional protein supplements. In an interview with Athletech News, he stated that many of his clients experienced digestive problems, including gastrointestinal discomfort and bloating, when using existing protein products.[4]
The brand’s name refers to the 311 formulation iterations used during product development. Athletech News reported that the team worked with a flavor house for approximately one year to refine the product’s taste and texture.[4]
RISE311 gained wider attention through coverage connected to Jake Gyllenhaal’s training for the 2024 film “Road House.” Men’s Health reported that Walsh and his team formulated a plant-based protein for Gyllenhaal during his preparation for the role and later released the formula to the general market as RISE311.[3] Other media coverage has connected Walsh’s training work and RISE311 to actors, including Pedro Pascal’s performance in “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (2025) and Alison Brie, who says she always takes it post-workout.[5][6]
GQ also reported that Walsh released RISE311 after becoming dissatisfied with other protein products on the market.[7]

RISE311’s primary product is a plant-based protein powder available in Dark Chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla. The product page lists 30 grams of protein per serving, a 1.0 PDCAAS score, and more than 3 grams of leucine.[11][12]
