Punola is a small village of 69 hectares in Bardez Tehsil in North Goa district, known and rated to have the best quality of life in India (based on the commission’s “12 Indicators”)[2] in the state of Goa, India.[3] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Punola depends on MAPUSA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[4] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Punola is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Punola's pin code is 403507[5], and village code is 00004600. The area of Punola is segregated as 1.59 hectares irrigated area, 27.67 hectares unirrigated, the 21.05 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 19.1 hectare area not available for cultivation.

The village is connected with a single bus service. Punola has One bank and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with One recreational center.

Punola is a census village in the district of North Goa, Goa. The village has a total population of 864 and has total administration over 199 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of MAPUSA and North Goa to sell steel cupboards and make their living.
