Punang Kalan is a small village of 1220 hectares in Bhinmal Tehsil in Jalor district, also known as Granite City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Punang Kalan depends on BHINMAL, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One Well supply, which is 491.57% of the total supply, One tank, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Punang Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Well. Punang Kalan's pin code is 307803[4], and village code is 02303400. The area of Punang Kalan is segregated as 541.57 hectares irrigated area, 378.7 hectares unirrigated, the 225 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 75 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of BHINMAL and Jalor to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
