Punana is a small village of 1010 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Punana depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 371.64% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Punana is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Punana's pin code is 303701[4], and village code is 01567800. The area of Punana is segregated as 371.64 hectares irrigated area, 377.58 hectares unirrigated, the 215.1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 45.64 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Punana is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 2541 and has total administration over 362 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Chomu and Jaipur to sell earthen pot and make their living.
