Premium Guard Inc. (PGI) is an American automotive aftermarket parts manufacturer headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.[1][2]
History
Premium Guard was founded in 1996 in New York City by Anan Bishara to supply private label oil filters and air filters to retail auto parts chains and service centers.[3]
In November 2020, Premium Guard expanded internationally through the acquisition of Tenneco's global filters business in Mexico, which included the Interfil brand and a manufacturing facility in Tultitlán.[4] A year later, in 2021, it formed a joint initiative with private equity firm Trive Capital to finance growth.[5] In December 2021, Premium Guard acquired IPC Global, a Massachusetts-based supplier known for the EcoGard brand.[6]
In late 2024, Premium Guard relocated its headquarters from New York City to Memphis, Tennessee.[7][8]
In mid-2025, Premium Guard opened a 377,000-square-foot distribution center in Weirton, West Virginia, designated as a Foreign Trade Zone.[9] In the same year, Premium Guard entered into a joint initiative with Procter & Gamble to produce Febreze-branded cabin air filters.[10]
Operations
Premium Guard designs, manufactures, and distributes automotive filtration products, including engine oil, air intake, and cabin air filters.[9] Its brands include Premium Guard, EcoGard, PureFlow, and Interfil.[9]
Premium Guard operates a distribution network totaling approximately 2 million square feet of warehouse space across facilities in Memphis, Tennessee; Columbus, Ohio; and Weirton, West Virginia.[9] Manufacturing operations are located in Mexico.[4]
