Pratappura Kalan is a small village of 305 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pratappura Kalan depends on Chomu, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 223.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pratappura Kalan is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pratappura Kalan's pin code is 303801[4], and village code is 01565000. The area of Pratappura Kalan is segregated as 223 hectares irrigated area, 45.16 hectares unirrigated, the 20 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 17 hectare area not available for cultivation.
