Pratapnagar is a small village of 577 hectares in Gudha Malani Tehsil in Barmer district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pratapnagar depends on BARMER, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, Two tubewells, and Two handpumps. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pratapnagar is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Pratapnagar's pin code is 344704[4], and village code is 02193700. The area of Pratapnagar is segregated as 456.21 hectares unirrigated, the 112.47 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 8.47 hectare area not available for cultivation.
