Dr. Pramod Paliwal (born 1968)[1] is an author, academician and expert in Energy sector Management, with an interest in Natural gas distribution industry and Energy Branding[2]. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Marketing, U.K. and is on the panel of Chair of Indian Studies Abroad in Energy Studies at Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India. He is associated with international crowdsourcing organization, Wikistrat as an Honorary Senior Analyst in the area of Energy.[3]

Education and personal

Born to Damodar and Pushpa Paliwal in Udaipur, Pramod Paliwal holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Rajasthan Vidyapeeth and is an MBA and PhD in Management from Mohanlal Sukhadia University.[4] He is married to Shally and has daughter Gargie and son Neil in the family.[5]

Career, publications and conferences

Paliwal is a Professor with School of Petroleum Management, Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, Gandhinagar-Gujarat, India.[6] In profession since 1991, his earlier associations have been with ACC Limited (now, a subsidiary of LafargeHolcim), Pacific Institute of Management, Mohanlal Sukhadia University, India and the India Offshore Campus of Oxford Brookes University, U.K.[7] He sits on the Academic Advisory Board of CHARGE Energy Branding Conference, Iceland.

Paliwal contributed to “International Gas Union 2009–2012 Triennium Work Report: Building Strategic Human Capital”[8] authored by Ieda Gomes[9], United Kingdom. He also contributed to the study on ‘Promoting Energy Savings in India’s Transportation Sector’ with the Institute of Energy Economics Japan (IEEJ), Tokyo, and METI (Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry). (2014-15)[10]

Apart from many research papers and book chapters publications in Management, Marketing and Energy industry, he has authored books on Industrial marketing and Natural Gas Distribution.[11][12][13][14][15]Paliwal, Pramod (2017). He has been an Invited Speaker at Natural Gas Distribution industry international forums, spanning India, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, Southeast Asia and the United States.[19][20][21].[22][23]
