Prahra is a small village of 59 hectares in Allapur Tehsil in Ambedkar Nagar district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Prahra depends on Tanda (MB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sourcesTwo canals. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Prahra's pin code is 224129[4], and village code is 06046500. The area of Prahra is segregated as 51.13 hectares irrigated area, 3 hectares unirrigated area. the 2.3 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves) and remaining 2 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Prahra has Two banks and Two credit societies for the regulation of economic activity. The village is also equipped with Two recreational centers.

Prahra is a census village in the district of Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. The village has a total population of 646 and has total administration over 89 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Tanda (MB) and Ambedkar Nagar to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
