Pragpura is a small village of 907 hectares in Amber Tehsil in Jaipur district, also known as the Pink City in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pragpura depends on Kotputli, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, Two Wells supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Pragpura is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pragpura's pin code is 303702[4], and village code is 01457200. The area of Pragpura is segregated as 794 hectares irrigated area, 15.49 hectares unirrigated, the 2.39 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 95.61 hectare area not available for cultivation.

Pragpura is a census village in the district of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The village has a total population of 12114 and has total administration over 1934 houses which are connected to supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Kotputli and Jaipur to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
