Pothi is a small village of 247.5 hectares in GabhanaTehsil in Aligarh district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Pothi depends on GABHANA, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include One tap, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Pothi's pin code is 202136[4], and village code is 01319200. The area of Pothi is segregated as 165 hectares irrigated area, 16.03 hectares unirrigated area. remaining 66.49 hectare area not available for cultivation.
