Poonam Joshi is an Indian Journalist and women's rights campaigner based in London. She is the Co-founder and Co-editor of The UKAsian, a campaigning journalism website. She is a campaigner for the rights of first generation migrant Indian women in the United Kingdom.[1]

In 2019 Joshi confronted Pakistani and Khalistani supporters outside the Indian High Commission in London who objected to the revocation of Article 370 of the Constitution of India. A video of her taking a torn Indian flag from them went viral on social-media.[2]

She was subjected to harassment and bullying by peer Rami Ranger after she reported that an organisation co-founded by Ranger invited a representative of Fugitive Cult-leader Nithyananda to a Diwali event in the House of Lords in October 2022.[3]

Ranger was found to have breached the parliamentary Code of Conduct relating to "bullying and harassment" and was forced to issue a public apology to Joshi.[4]
