Pomona Zipser (born 28 June 1958 in Sibiu]]) is a Romanian-born contemporary artist based in Berlin]], known for her sculptures.[1] She was born in 1958 in Romania]] and moved to Germany with her mother in 1970. Zipser studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich]] and the Berlin University of the Arts]].[2]

Public Art (selection)

Zipser made several large-scale installations and commissions, across various mediums, including bronze, aluminium, concrete, and wood.[21]

In 1994, Zipser created a ceiling mural for the Badenia Bausparkasse in Karlsruhe]].[22]

In 1999–2000, Zipser created a large aluminium sculpture for the Berliner Wasserbetriebe. This sculpture, measuring 9 x 4 x 2.5 meters, was later showcased at the Berlinische Galerie]], Landesmuseum.[23]

In 2000, Zipser created a bronze sculpture for the garden at the Auguste Viktoria Krankenhaus in Berlin]]. The sculpture measuring 100 x 65 x 50 cm, adds a unique aesthetic to the garden and is a testament to the importance of nature in the healing process.[24]

In 2009, Zipser created two aluminium sculptures and reconstructed a historic wall mural for the Montgolfier]]-Gymnasium in Berlin.[25]

In 2011, Zipser created concrete stelae for the Földerichschule in Berlin. The stelae, which measure 240 x 40 x 40 cm, were created in collaboration with children and are a reflection of the artist's commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.[26]
