Poiya is a small village of 1287 hectares in Etmadpur Tehsil in Agra district in the State of Uttar Pradesh, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Poiya depends on Agra (CB), the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include, One Well supply, One tank, One tubewell and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river,. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Tap. Poiya's pin code is 283126[4], and village code is 01566800. The area of Poiya is segregated as 614 hectares irrigated area, 390 hectares unirrigated, remaining 126 hectare area not available for cultivation.
