Podipur is a small village of 135 hectares in Ramgarh Tehsil in Alwar district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Podipur depends on ALWAR, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, One Well supply, which is 4.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - Two rivers, Two canals and Two springs. Podipur is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Podipur's pin code is 301025[4], and village code is 00836700. The area of Podipur is segregated as 42 hectares irrigated area, 61 hectares unirrigated, the 1 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 31 hectare area not available for cultivation.
