Pleng Chan (Khmer: ភ្លេងច័ន្ទ) is a Cambodian coffee shop based in Phnom Penh.

Biography

In 2020, Pleng Chan established its first outlet on Street 63 (Trasak Paem Boulevard) of Boeng Keng Kang I.[1][2] Until 2022, Pleng Chan Coffee and Eatery has opened more branches such as Pleng Chan (BKK),[3][4] Pleng Chan (TTP),[5][6] and Pleng Chan (Kampus)[7][8] branches.[9][10] Pleng Chan has been known for its trending coffee shop for social media check-in in Phnom Penh.[11][12][13] Pleng Chan is also known for its Cambodian cuisine.[14][15][16][17][18]

Social Community

Pleng Chan is a coffee shop that contributes to society through various activities such as youth clubs (Painting club) for free to Cambodian youth.[19] The coffee shop hosted seminar with free entrance for participants.[20][21] Moreover, the coffee shop has been engaging and promoting Cambodian culture with youth through non-government organization such as the Union Youth Federations of Cambodia.[22][23] On 4 August 2022, Pleng Chan was visited by the US Embassy Cambodia and the Secretary Blinken to be engaged with alumni of the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative on his international trip to Cambodia.[24][25] During the beginning of August 2023, Pleng Chan organized a program called "Help each other!" (or in Khmer: ជួយគ្នា!) to reach out to communities and organizations in need.[26]
