Pir Syed Kareem Ali Shah, also known as Kareem Ali Shah, was a Hindustani Shia Muslim scholar. He is also the grandfather of Pakistani politician and Islamic scholar Pir Syed Nazim Hussain Shah.

Life

Shah was born into a Shia family.[1][2]

Shah's family moved to Pakistan after the partition of India and Pakistan.

Honors

In 2000, Pakistan Post honored him with a commemorative postage stamp from its SHIA Muslim collection.[3][4] In his honor, the Pir Kareem Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University at Murree Road Rawalpindi was established.[5]
