Piplod is a small village of 1022 hectares in Atru Tehsil in Baran district in the State of Rajasthan, India.[2] The village is administrated by a sarpanch who is elected representative of the village by the local elections. Piplod depends on Baran, the nearest town for all major economic activities.[3] The village has government-provided water facilities that include Two taps, Two Wells supply, which is 27.00% of the total supply, Two tanks, One tubewell, and One handpump. The villagers also acquire water from some of the natural water sources - One river, One canal and Two springs. Piplod is also surrounded by Two lakes. The population of the village depends on the source of drinking water during summer on Handpump. Piplod's pin code is 325218[4], and village code is 03882100. The area of Piplod is segregated as 282 hectares irrigated area, 431 hectares unirrigated, the 116 hectare area under culturable waste (including gauchar and groves), and remaining 192.86 hectare area not available for cultivation.

They depend on the agricultural markets (Mandi) of the nearby towns of Baran to sell agricultural produce and make their living.
